Ryan Aviation is delighted to be supporting Aero Technics, a leading cabin interior maintenance and support company, with their recruitment requirement for Carpet Technicians to be based at Gatwick Airport OR London Heathrow.

Aero Technics maintain, overhaul and repair all types of aircraft cabin equipment, including passenger and crew seats, galley and galley equipment. The following job has a competitive salary and additional benefits attached and is a great opportunity to join an industry leader in this space.


Shift: Monday to Thursday 7am - 5pm (overtime available)

Job Title: Carpet Technician

Reporting To: Carpet Technical Team Leader

Location: Gatwick Airport as a main base and London Heathrow as required (use of company vehicle if required)


Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all carpet planning & cutting is carried out to the required plan
  • To ensure all carpet over locking and fitting is carried out to the required plan and is completed on time in relation to the aircraft maintenance planning
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the relevant quality standards both from a customer requirement and CAA compliance
  • Carry out work in a timely manner
  • Be responsible for your own health and safety and for that of your colleagues as set out in the Health and Safety Policy
  • Follow all necessary security procedures both within the Hangar and airside
  • Comply with all necessary customer procedures and processes
  • To perform the job in line with the Company’s policies and procedures which may be obtained from your supervisor, department manager or the Quality Manager



  • City and Guilds (or similar) in an appropriate engineering and/or aviation subject
  • Previous experience as a carpet fitter
  • Light engineering tools and practices Mechanical fitting
  • Safe working practices
  • Driving licence
  • Be good at communication & a team player
  • Pro-active & self-motivated
  • Well organised
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures
